Dinner Opportunity With AU President And First Lady

ASHLAND, OH - Ashland University President Dr. Carlos Campo and his wife, Karen, have offered to host a dinner for 10 people in their home as part of a fundraiser for United Way of Ashland County. 

This dinner package is being auctioned off and bids will be accepted through October 26 at 11:45 AM.

The dinner will be catered by award-winning Ashland University chefs and AU will provide all of the amenities for the dinner. Every dollar that is bid will go to support United Way of Ashland County and its 13 partner agencies.

The date for the dinner will be coordinated with the bid winner. Those wanting to bid for this dinner can do it online at 

“If you are looking for a wonderful evening of fellowship, fun and an outstanding dinner prepared by the culinary chefs of Ashland University, then place your bid now,” said Missy Butts, community engagement coordinator for United Way. “This is a fundraiser for the Ashland University Pacesetter Challenge for United Way of Ashland County’s 2018 ‘Faces of Change’ Campaign.”

The mission of United Way is to improve lives and serve as a leader for change in Ashland County by uniting the caring power of the community. United Way of Ashland County serves as the “backbone” organization to lead with the critical help of community partners to build the strength of families, neighbors, communities and Ashland County.

    Debra Satz, the Maria Sutton Weeks Professor of Ethics in Society at Stanford University, will present “Distributing Schooling: The Place and Meaning of Equal Educational Opportunity" at the 12th Lindner Lecture in Ethics on Wednesday, Oct. 25, at The College of Wooster.
