MANSFIELD, OH - Park Lanes Bowling Alley put up a for sale sign outside their facility, but now representatives are worried the public thinks they're closed.

"We are still open Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday," said the owner of Park Lanes, Ron Speck. "And there has been a bit of a discrepancy with the people about are we closed because of the sign? The center is just up for sale."

Speck goes on to explain that the goal is to get someone in the bowling industry to invest in the property and restore it.

In fact, Speck divulged he's already had multiple parties interested in the facility and is very excited about the potential they hold for Park Lanes. Many possibilities and renovations could be in store for the building including new equipment and lanes, redoing the patio area, and a large back room that could be remodeled into an array facilities including a banquet room or more bowling lanes. The sky is the limit as far as what the future may hold.

Speck mentioned it is important to him to keep Park Lanes open for business because of the value the bowling alley adds to the community.

"Mansfield doesn't have anything for the community to do except for watching movies. We've got some other entertainment facilities around here, but they're all bar and alcohol related. We've got young kids in this community that need somewhere to go... to keep them on the right path," he said.

For more information, call Park Lanes at (419) 522-2695. The bowling alley is located at 1410 Park Ave W, Mansfield, and is open:

Thursday 6PM–1AM

Friday 6PM–1AM

Saturday 12PM–1AM

Sunday 12–8PM
