MANSFIELD,OH- Thirty students will get a chance to deepen their knowledge of theater in Mid-Ohio Educational Center's 24-Hour Theater Project.

Students will gather at the Mid-Ohio Conference center to learn more on theater, playwrighting, acting, directing, and designing sets and working on a technical crew.

Called the “24-Hour Theater Project,” the opportunity is offered by Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center and its Gifted and Talented team. Students interested in the visual and performing arts will immerse themselves in theater from 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 19, until noon on Monday, February 20. Because of the President’s Day holiday, there is no school on February 20.

Students will work together to develop, direct and act in their own performances at the conclusion of the workshop. Community members, family and friends are invited to see them at the Conference Center from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on February 20.

Presenters include Jim Cox, theater and performing arts director at St. Peter’s School in Mansfield and Damien Beauford, founder of M.A.D. (Mansfield Art Development) Studio, who has experience in theater.
