Armed Robbery Reported At Ontario's BellStore

ONTARIO, OH - On Tuesday, February 14 at 10:36 p.m., a male entered the BellStore. brandishing an AR-15-style assault rifle.

He placed a bag on the counter and demanded the cash from the register. The clerk attempted to activate the panic alarm button and the suspect fled the store without any cash. Upon exiting the store, two customers were entering and had the rifle pointed at them.

The suspect was wearing a dark hoodie with a mask and fled towards the Buckeye Village Apartments. The suspect appears to be a male, 18-25 years old with a smaller frame body and about 5’00”- 5’06” tall.

On Wednesday, officers located and interviewed two persons at the Molyet Apartments on Ohio 39. Two vehicles were impounded and searched. Search results produced the weapon, mask and bag believed used in the robbery. The weapon was an airsoft style resembling an AR-15 rifle and was all black.

No charges were filed and evidence has been sent to the BCI&I laboratory for DNA results.
