Clear Fork Colts Take Down Jonathan Alder, 28-14

BELLVILLE, OH - The Clear Fork Colts jumped out to an early 14-0 lead and never looked back as they took care of Jonathan Alder, 28-14.

The Colts are now 3-0 for the first time since 2005.

Jared Schafer got the scoring started as he ran it in from 25 yards out to make it 7-0 Clear Fork with 4:05 left in the opening quarter. Schafer finished the night with 6 carries for 34 yards and a rushing TD.

Clear Fork went up 14-0 on a 28-yard-run from Blake Dinsmore with just under a minute to play in the first quarter. Dinsmore on the night went 8-13 for 127 yards passing and a TD while also rushing for 76 yards and 2 TDs.

Jonathan Alder got on the board with 7:00 left in the 2nd quarter as Preston Eisnaugle found Dalton Potts for a 68-yard touchdown pass. Eisnaugle went 23-43 with 312 yards a TD and an INT on the night.

The Colts responded immediately as Dinsmore connected with Trevon Trammell for a 49-yard touchdown pass with 3:51 to play in the 2nd quarter.

The teams exchanged touchdowns late in the 4th quarter to close out the scoring.

Clear Fork will travel to North Union next week while Jonathan Alder hosts Benjamin Logan.
