NORTH ROBINSON, OH- After an opening win over Mt.Gilead in week one 46-7, the Colonel Crawford Eagles dropped their next two in N-10 play to Carey 27-14, and to Mohawk 34-20.  It does not get any easier for the Eagles Friday as they look to stop a two game slide at Wynford (2-1, 1-0).  Despite their 1-2 and 0-2 record coach Ryan Teglovic is not calling Friday a "must win."

"We never say it's a must win I mean we know our backs are against the wall in a lot of ways but our focus has to be on just getting better and if our focus is on that then good things will happen.  If we get ourselves in a position where we think this game is the game of the year then I don't know if that is beneficial for us.  It is an important game but we have got to focus on getting better every week."

For Owen Seevers, this is a must win.  "Every game is a must win, but winning this game would raise our confidence level.  I think it is a must win and we need to to do what we need to do."

Seevers did catch a long touchdown pass a year ago in Wynford's 28-21 win in North Robinson.  Asked if he thinks the Eagles can exploit that again Seevers responded with.  "I think we can. We just need to have everybody do their jobs.  We have to have the run game and that would open up the passing game."

On Wynford's offense, Teglovic says the Royals can throw but still likes to run the football.  "Wynford may throw the ball a hair more this year but really when it comes right down to it they like to run the football and they run it very well."

"They are a good passing team," says Kaleb Landin.  You can't look away from Wynford's passing game.  But if we stop we stop both it will be a good game."

Asked if it's any more difficult at Wynford Seevers responded with, "It's the same thing every year.  It's always hard."

On the game itself, "It's aggressive everybody is hitting, everybody is fighting for that extra yard," says Landin.  "Everybody is in the game 100%.  It's a little bit more personal.  It's good competition."

The Colonel Crawford at Wynford football game will be televised at midnight Friday and 5 pm Saturday on WMFD TV Mansfield.
